CVP Rehabilitation

Cardio-Vascular-Pulmonary-Rehab

The CardioVascular Pulmonary Rehabilitation department at Grove Hill Memorial Hospital is an evidence-based, multidisciplinary, and comprehensive interventional program for patients with cardiac and chronic respiratory diseases. These two separate and distinct programs are offered on an outpatient basis under one roof. Each program utilizes expertise from various healthcare disciplines integrated into a comprehensive, cohesive program, tailored to the individual needs of each patient designed to reduce symptoms, optimize functional status, increase participation, and reduce health care costs through stabilizing or reversing systemic manifestations of cardiac and pulmonary disease.

"Healthy Hearts and Lively Lungs"

"Healthy Hearts and Lively Lungs" was developed in 2002 to assist the community in the recovery process from a potentially debilitating heart or lung problem.  The American Heart Association states that coronary heart disease is the single largest killer of Americans. The American Lung Association reports that every year close to 350,000 Americans die of lung disease, making it the number three killer. More that 30 million Americans are now living with chronic lung disease. The staff at Grove Hill Memorial Hospital's cardiopulmonary program is dedicated in assisting each individual in the process of reducing risk factors for heart and lung disease and improving the quality of life.

The rehabilitation program consists of:
